I've ridden a similar road here in Switzerland - the Klausen Pass route is very similar.

I spent the weekend riding in the Hida area in Japan. Everything was turning into a beautiful autumn color and it was just awesome!

OK. I'm going to try to post pics. Forgive me if I can't get it right.

Back from the Tateyam-Kurobe Alpine Route - quite an experience changing means of transportation 7 times in a day to reach the other side of the mountains. The last photo (the snow walls) is a poster in the tourist information center.

Everytime I think RB has shown the coolest places in Japan, he shows up with more

And now Kay is joining in... I'll be an expert on Japan riding routes before I ever have a chance to actually get there

Hi, Jerry (outlaw), c50tiger, Telmo and Inspiron!
The next step....just come over and see for yourselves!
By the way, there are rental bikes here so all you need to do is get on a plane and join us! (I know it's easier said than done)

Last weekend, I had lunch at a VERY old soba (Japanese noodle) place that was build back in the 1800s. The entrance area, they told me, was built in 1811!! The food was not only great, they had what they called "riders' special" where you can get a BIG portion with the price of a normal one, if you arrived on bikes. Great place!

The second pic is a Wasabi field I visited.

No, I've been to Tokyo once (one week, on business), but the picture above was taken on the Grimsel pass in the Swiss Alps in June 2005.

Trust me, Kay - RB has been reminding me fairly regularly that I need to be saving my frequent flyer miles for the trip Hadn't been for that pesky trip to Las Vegas I'd be about 50,000 miles closer

And RB - I promise I'm gonna get the pics of the ride to the Skip Barber Motorsports Park posted as soon as I can get copies from the girl who remembered to bring a camera. She was supposed to burn them to a cd or something for me, but I haven't heard from her since the ride
