Wow, now THAT's a ride!

Why first in 2008? Why not next year?

Remember, when you get to Lausanne, you've just reached the beginning of the Alps. You should plan about 2 to 3 days extra to really enjoy them, crossing the entire width of Switzerland and maybe even heading over into the Dolomites or Tirolan Alps. They are DEFINIELY worth the extra time - the views, the curves ... (oh, wait, we're talking about mountains here) ...

Will you post some photos of the 200 mile cornfields?
If you rode 200 miles here, you would jump into the ocean from the cliff.

I dig Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. There's a little drive up something called lookout mountain at Grand Teton. Wow. Here it is from the top.

Of course, Yellowstone's got everything. Where in the world can you see something like this?

One of the best memories I've ever had was when I was going through the scenic byway in Badlands National Park, just outside of Wall, SD, home of Wall Drug, which I'm sure EVERY American biker's been to.

This is a view from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This and Skyline Drive, in Great Smokey Mountains and Shenendoah National Parks, respectively, are phenominal. Not much traffic, great views, curvy roads.

And, though the pictures didn't turn out well, the park loop in Rocky Mountain National Park. Whoa.

Funkmon, here's a tip for you...

If you enclose the URL of the picture in , the picture will show up directly in the post.

Inspiron, enjoying the pics, renews old memories of the country. Tried to copy into a file on members rides in jpeg format. They couldn't be recalled. What format are you posting in please. Jim

The pictures are simple JPG files.

They are hosted on my club website Club Florian '94 - Fotos - Töffausfahrt - September 2006

Click on a picture, then it will open a new window with that picture. You can then right-click on the picture and Save As...

If that doesn't work, let me know, and I can send you a CD ...

Noah, don't know why the ImageShack was not friendly to you but if you type 'hosting tools' the search engine will give you another ones. All you need to show pics in the post is:
, no space between . Resize image to 640x480 for message board. Any larger image will cause scrolling right/left. That's what I learned when commenced this forum.
Good luck!

Thanks Jim,

We have to wait till 2008 cause my wife is pregnant and the baby will born in Feb 2007, and that gives us plenty of time for planning (and money saving too ).

Default Today's ride

Nothing special - just to get out from the heat of the town (where I live), took an half day ride. Why a bag for a short ride? We say "You may forget your lunch but not an umbrella " this time of year - the fall weather is just like women (I mean Japanese women).

Lake Ashinoko

Man - you have GOT to figure out the whole pic posting thing.. I have family in Landrum SC, Shelby and Lake Lure NC.. every now and then I'll take 11 north from the Ga. border after crossing Hartwell Lake just for a change of pace when I'm going up for a visit. Rapidly approaching leaf season, so get the rides in while you can do so without too much interference

It would be nice if the cam could zoom up to the spot where you are riding ...
