Yup, did that last summer. Everyone I know called me nuts.
You rode in full leather?!
You ARE nuts!! (ooops, sorry!)

I have this summer jacket which is made of synthetic material but the whole thing is mesh. Even the protectors are summer protectors that have holes in them so that air can go through.

So I wear this jacket + leather pants. But NO WAY will I wear full leather!!
Well, of course unless I am riding on tracks, since they require full leather. But even so my leather suit has punched holes.

I can understand people thinking you are nuts......LOL
Can't disagree!!

Oh but twisties look REALLY intriguing.....

Yeah, I was and should have been committed.

I also have textile riding gears (jackets and second layer of pants). It's just that when I go do my canyon or twisty runs, I want maximum possible protection.

Maybe I will add perforated gear to my acquisition list next month.

Default Adventure by a 90cc bike

While surfing happened to find the site (in Japanese) - downloaded some pics from his thousands pics. The guy who uses a Honda Cub 90cc runs 150km~800km, taking a few~several hundreds pics a day. Just wanted to share those photos with you all.

I agree that full leather would be the best for twisties.
But if that is the case, you should really try the perforated stuff. It's really great for summer season runs!!
You can literally feel the breeze going through your body.

I ONLY have peforated leather so when it gets a bit cold, I wear a thin jacket over it and also wear goretex/wind stopper tights.

Man, that guy goes everywhere with that little bike . That's so cool. Just goes to show you don't have to have the biggest, baddest, newest bike to go adventure riding. I love it! Being it only weighs a little bit makes it easier to pick up when you fall!

Isn't that amazing? One of his benefit is that here as known the gas prices are very high ($4.40 at my gas station for the regular). The Cub runs 140 miles per gallon (the spec value).

Toyo don't feel too bad, we are not too far behind you in prices,as of today I paid $3.49 gallon for reg. It will go up,but we have no idea how much. We are just getting into the summer and vacation period. They just raise the prices for the summer. It pisses me off that they can get away with it. I think we will be looking at at least $4 in another month or so. I feel bad for the people in Europe,I know it's way over the top like (Jim)Inspiron said I think $7.00 a gallon. They have us by the .*&*#@..well you know.

Pete, thanks for sharing - had driven on NY27 long time ago, your photos have brought back my good old memory of NY (Endicott) life.
Oh - your bike is beautiful, have never seen one here yet. If you have a chance could you post a pic showing the whole Hammer?

You are in California. While driving on Route 1, happened to find a bunch of cars parked along the road. Parked my car and walked to the beach. Saw something we can't see over here. The name of the beach I found it later - Bonny Doon

I really need to get Rae to stand on the side of the road and film me driving thru this one section...We blasted trhu it last night with the Mustang..oh how the exhaust note carried out into a calm vacant valley..

The coast loop we just did on Saturday is 230 miles.
Eugene to Monroe (via Alvadore and Cheshire), to Alsea (across coast range on single lane road with no center markings), to Waldport.
Down Hwy 101 (Pacific Ocean coast road) to Reedsport
Reedsport back to Eugene via the Smith River Road, Wolf Creek Road, Territorial and Crow road.
The home stretch is about 85 miles, of which 60 or so are on a single lane road with no center markings across the coast range - absolutely fantastic scenery and riding - probably 50+ 15mph corners and an equal number of 25 mph corners.
For anyone in Oregon, who hasn't explored the Smith River area, I'd highly recommend it.
I rode with a friend, Joe, and my father-in-law, Walt. At one point a couple turkey vultures swooped down out of the trees and one of them flew for about 100ft right in front Walt. He swore they were golden eagles!

Nice surprise - yesterday all of a sudden one of my pen pals (who owns the same bike as mine, ST250) on a Yahoo board pinged and visited me to ride on the route where we can command full view of Mt Fuji from the ocean and from the mountains. He rode all way up to here from the other Prefecture putting 300 km round trip (cost him $50 for the highways) and rode another 150 km on the Fuji route. The photos are exactly the same to Post #1 on this thread, so avoided to clip. In stead a pic taken by another pen pal, Gaku Yamaya, a professional cuisine photographer is uploaded - just incredible:
