Thanks a lot, Kay!

Super moderator said "Post often and stay active! As the board grows you'll be glad you did!" First time when I opened my thread, I really felt I was glad I did. Now feel much more than glad.

Thanks Moderators, Forum owner, posters and guests who have given me great pleasure everyday.

Kay, re blood types I have least knowledge but sounds like I am an exception of "Os" then, since I am kinda "Que sera sera" man that my wife had complained about ....

Wow, heavy traffic - thought it would take forever for this post to take off ...

Default I don't have one, there are too many,to pick one.

Here are two of my favorite routes. From my Webshots photos.
About 30 miles of pure twisties to get to here:Mt. Rainier National Park
1. Cayuse Pass,Washington

About 10 miles of pure twisties out of Port Angeles Washington to get here:
2. Hurricane Ridge,Washington

From Hurricane Ridge, you can look South and you see the entire Olympic Mountain range. Turn 180 degs. to the North and you see all of the San Juan Islands and all the way to Victoria, Canada. Truely one of the best view spots in Washington State.

So many more that I have ridden yet!

If the pics don't load, try this
My webshots: look in More Washington for Cayuse Pass and Hurricane Ridge

Michael, impressed! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos - viewed all of them and did a little study about the history of Kubota Japanese Garden.

Paul, thanks for your message.

Not as pretty as many of the routes already posted.

But this is where I do my twisty runs about two to three times a week. It's less than 3 miles from my home.

Wookie, you are fortunate to get to the twisty in a few minutes. How far does it go?

It's about 4 miles each way. Each time I head out that route, I will do about two to three roundtrips. It's a very technical run. This is where I learned how to make turns.

Further away, about 35 miles out, there is the famous Angeles Crest Hwy. I will try to go out that way this weekend and take some pics.

Thanks Toyo, for the kind words,I try to do my best, doesn't please everyone, but how can you?
The Kubota Garden is very beautiful and master landscaper Fujitaro Kubota, was an amazing gentleman. His design and laying out of the gardens is great,it is one of, if not the best Japanese style Gardens in the Puget Sound. It's a great asset and it was a wonderful gift to the Seattle Area. Glad you enjoyed.

Wookie, you are so lucky!! It's not only close, it seems like a gorgeous place. I had this idea that the LA area was basically flat, but it seems I was wrong. The mild climate there must be great for riding too.

Mike, I saw your pics also.
In fact, I spent so much time that when I came back to the forum, I was automatically logged out.

Yes that Garden does look REALLY nice but must be hard to maintain.
Japanese gardens are usually very difficult and expensive so very few people actually have those at home.

You also had some beautiful pics in that website and I really enjoyed them.

Thank you for sharing them with us!!

I am lucky to live in the Puget Sound. It is a very beautiful and varied part of the country. Plus we have Volcanoes...

Default video--better than pics

MySpace Videos: Travis Tritt by Michael cool road, but frequently has gravel in the turns, so you really gotta watch it.

It kind of depends on where in LA. From Downtown going south, it's mostly flat. However, near where I live, there are a lot of hills and canyons, thanks to the Whittier fault line just about 5 to 10 miles away.

Most of the times, the weather is great. The only thing is that during summer, we get a couple weeks of 100+ degrees temperature. Then it's a rather unpleasant experience to do canyon runs in full leather.

Yup, did that last summer. Everyone I know called me nuts.

And don't underestimate the 14 million people who are trying to share the freeway system (designed for about 1/10th that many vehicles) every bloody minute of the day...
