You can quote several of the previous posts at once...

Weather is not smiling on us in Tokyo area - four consecutive rainy days forecasted, hope weather men are wrong.

The pic from the news paper is one of the three biggest cherry blossom trees here, now full blooming - Japanese veneration of the elderly extends to grandfather tree. That devil is a giant, truly...

This is one of our favorite "jumping off" points for a ride. From Estes, you can go just about anywhere.

It was a beautiful day today. Cloudy, cool, but first real ride with my wife in a very, very long time. The pictures were taken on an overlook about 10 miles out of town.

Hi, Scott.
This is a BEAUTIFUL place!
Never been to Colorado, but I hear it's a gorgeous place with many scenic places you can visit.

This weekend was a fun weekend for me. Friday, I took a day off from work and went to the Tsukuba Circuit race track with my GSX-R600. First time race track ride with that bike but it was FUN!
Saturday, I went to Motegi Twin Link race tracks to see the Indy 300. The Japan round of Indy 500.
We had great weather on both days.

No great scenery shots this time but I really enjoyed the ride.

Hope you are all enjoying this great riding season.

Let me echo what Kay said about Colorado. My friend kept sending me beautiful photos before having moved to Florida, the state less twisties for riders.

Watched the Indy 300 live telecasting. Someday will we see you on F1?

Hahaha. Would love to if they's let me.
But on second thoughts, I haven't even mastered "riding" so better keep "driving" aside for now.

This is a season when I feel glad I am in Japan. We've got a lot of mountains which means a lot of twisties we can go riding. The only thing I don't like is the traffic jam heading back to Tokyo and the expensive motorway toll.

Lots of mountains: Check.
Lots of twisties: Check.
Traffic jams: Not many. Check.
Motorway toll: US$ 30 per year. Check.

You really should visit Switzerland ...

30 per year?!
Wow!!
That's almost one way for me depending on where I go. In other words, it's double that for a round trip.

The Tokyo inter-city expressway is a fixed toll of about US$6.
I also don't understand why bikes have to pay the same toll as small vehicles (four wheels!!).

Yes, Switzerland has an "Autobahn Vignette" which allows you to drive on the motorway. The Vignette is valid from December of the previous year through January of the following year (14 months total), and costs CHF 40.00 (around US$30).

Germany doesn't charge for their Autobahns (yet). Germans pay for the roads through higher vehicle registration fees (and tolls for trucks over 12.5 tons).

Austria has a Vignette too, but there you can buy a 1-week Vignette for about $10.

France and Italy have toll highways. It costs me about $4.00 each way to go visit my horse in France, but if I don't mind taking a longer route, I can bypass the toll road completely.

Jim you're making me want to move to Europe!!
I don't even want to think about the amount I am spending on motorways in a year.

Any job for me?

What do you do? If you know Oracle, SharePoint or have other IT skills, I could get you an interview (I can't promise a job, but it's a start...)

IT skills?
I get around alright but no specialist skills.

I'm in marketing. And I work for a financial institution.

Ooops, soooooooooooo off topic. (Sorry Samurai)

No problema, Kay - I trust the Forum has enough storage units for our friendly chat.

Switzerland ... bank ... you shouldn't have any problem at all getting an interview here. The Asia markets are exploding - all of the banks want to do business with China.

UBS and Credit Suisse are the big ones, then there are many smaller private banks...

Gosh you are right!
Switzerland IS the place for financial institutions!
I used to work for a bank. Now I am with an asset management company.

By the way, the Asian Market IS exploding. Well the emerging markets in general.
Hmmm...
Would be great if I can spend some years there....
Having lived in so many countries as a child, I really don't mind living in unfamiliar places. Give me two weeks and I'm settled.
