Great!!
Will be looking forward to seeing them.

You know, what I like about this thread is that I get to see pics of places I have never been to from different parts of the world. And to think that I am communicating with the person who had been there.

So ... how fast did you run on the salt? On two wheels next time? The movie "The World Fastest Zuki Girl" will be on someday I expect

Someone in the thread said "Now, as far as eating and riding - - usually that's what we do!!! We pick a restaurant that would be a good hour or so ride, go there and eat, and then ride home. Or, more likely, ride somewhere else to get something else to eat

We, 20 riders, were supposed to observe cherry blossoms today. During 1st stop we were talking about where to have lunch. During lunch time discussing where to stop for snack. During snack break once again discussing where to have dinner. Probably they are having dinner now.
Old saying "Bread is better than the songs of birds.(花より団子)" is true
I will have a visitor tonight, so I am home.

I forgot what miles it was but it was 286.763km (I know, I know. All I have to do is calculate!! LOL). I was in the up to 4000cc engine, non-aspirated GT car class (E class). It really wasn't a matter of how much I could open the throttle, it was more a mechanical challenge. How fast can you get the non-turbo car to go.

On asphalt, the same car went up to something close to 310km. But on salt, there's a lot more friction.

You had to pass an evacuation test to run. Had to evacuate the car within 1 min. If you took longer, they wouldn't let you run (in case the car caught fire). When all those bigger size drivers were struggling to get out through roll bars and nets, I evacuated the car in 15 seconds!! The test officials were laughing saying "at least you're No.1 in evacuation!".

So you took advantage of the great weather we had during the weekend!!
The Fuji cemetry cherry blossoms look awesome.
I couldn't go riding but I worked on my gixxer to remove the rear fender. It looks much better now.

Nice to meet you on-line Kay and Samurai!

I could'nt go up Farmington today...too much snow and muddy road.

I did cruise to Antelope Island, having a bit of trubble getting my ride pics to show up in the album I created for them.

I'll figure it out though.

Jim (Cimco), nice to meet you, too. Did a little study on Antelope Island Utah Sate Park. That looks a beautiful and inviting island.

Hi Samurai!
Here are some of today's mildlife at the island.
They're pretty tame unless you charge too close to them...

Ahaha, Samurai, good try!

Jim (Cimco), those are REAL WILD animals???
You didn't take those pics at a zoo?
Wow, great place!

I cracked up laughing at your post saying how the picture is huge.
By the way, I guess you've already found out, but if you waited till the picture is fully downloaded, it settles to an OK size.

Forgive me for hijacking your conversation with Kay but you'd better not to try to walk right up to a Buffalo Why? Viewed your interests of your profile.

I really enjoy looking in on this thread.

I always find out about some really cool place someone's been to and after reading a bit also find a nice story to go along with those pictures.

I have to admit that at first I was a little jealous, initially it was winter here & there was no riding for me in that bitter cold. So I was a bit envious of those whom were riding.

But, having gone on some really pretty rides most of last summer and nearly each time I've taken the bikes out this year, I have still failed to come up with even one picture.

It's like I have a learning disability or perhaps its some sort of mental block, because I can never remember to bring my freaking camera when I go on a ride. Heck, I don't even have a picture of my bikes yet!

At this rate, I think even if I did one day remember to bring the camera, I'd probably forget to use it.

Despite my lackluster photography skills, I just wanted to say....Thanks for posting to this thread.

This is sooooo funny!
I read it too!

Jim, you are GREAT!

But putting the big laugh aside, I've never been close to a Buffalo. In fact, never seen one except in a zoo. They look almost divine with their size and the dignity that comes with it.

I'd LOVE to see one real close. Wouldn't want one charging though because I happen to share the same "interests".

So you actually got close to those animals to take those pictures! Amazing!
I thought you used one of those lenses that look like bazookas.

Bill (Apertureguy), I often forget my camera too. Those are the times when I encounter breathtaking scenery!!

But now I forget less. I think it is becoming a habit. (Last time I forgot, I had my camera but forgot the battery at home!!)

Samurai's going to love your nice comment.
You made his day!! (Right, Samurai?)

BTW, at least get a picture of your bike!

Bill (Apertureguy),

I am very Very VERY pleased to find that you are enjoying the thread as much as I am. A super moderator said "Have fun, post often and stay active! As the board grows you'll be glad you did!" You certainly made my day.

I think I have a few solutions for you. Firstly why don't you try to use a camera in a case with a tiny alarm clock as the key holder so that the engine will not start without the camera and the clock. Assume you turn off the engine and take the key with you when you walk away from the M50. You got the camera with you! Well, if you still think you will forget why carrying the camera and why the clock is ringing, please let me know, I have an alternate solution for you.
Oh, your ID should remind you to take a camera with you also - fool proof.

I expect some photos from Apple State that will bring back good memories if you have time between hunting and fishing.

Thank you again for your nice post.

Kay, you probably will view the post for Bill. You can steal the idea, that should break the Murphy's Law - "I often forget my camera too. Those are the times when I encounter breathtaking scenery!!"
