Default M50 vs C50 - What is your thought???

Now that you all have told me that $6500 and under for a C50 is a good price I'm interested in an M50 and an C50. I really like the sport look of the M50 but are afraid that if I resell in 1-2 years the market is limited for that style.
I feel the C50 really has everything except the sportier look. I love the floorboards and heel to toe shifer plus the 2-tone gray/silver i'd be getting.\

What is all your opimions? M50 or C50?

Thanks Cyberized

Just comes down to personal preference overall. No difference between bikes IMO other than the obvious:
Handlebars - shorter risers on C50, longer rise and pullback on bars
Floorboards and heel-toe shifter - could always be added to the M50
Fenders - matter of preference
Rims - Spoked on the C50 (so tube and tire), cast on the M50 (tubeless tire). Spoked rims could be sealed to accept tubeless tires, search the forum, believe it was Wheel-Works.com, around $60/tire. From what I hear, only takes about 10 min longer to clean spoked tires if done regularly, shouldn't need to tighten spokes often (just check them regularly). I would want tubeless in case of puncture when out on the road, able to patch and continue to repair shop.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the future re-sale of the M50. Since there aren't too many bikes out there that compete with the "muscle" look of the M50, might help with your resale. But the Suzuki Boulevard line is getting great reviews from all, and you shouldn't have too much trouble selling either bike down the line.

My advice, sit on the bikes in the showroom and see which one feels better for you. You won't go wrong with either choice.

Dude get what makes you happy!!!

If you get the m50 and keep it for three years you’re going to have lots of great memories. When it comes time to sell her, there’s always some young stud who will buy it.

No matter what bike you chose just remember to respect the machine.

Get the M.

You know you want to.

There's nothing like it on the road.

Morally, the M50 is better.

Then again, I don't have the right to pursuade anyone towards that bike anymore...

When I bought mine, the placement of the speedo was the deciding factor. I don't like having to take my eyes off the road to check my speed, and with the C50 that's just what you have to do.

I've sat on both never riden either. The M just looks very cool. I bought the S for the low weight.

The M is for folks who just can't commit to a cruiser

Just kidding.. seriously, sit on both and make up your own mind. Don't be such a lemming

I can agree with Tiger. I'm not into the big fat fenders and acres of chrome myself, so the M appeals.

Its like it rode out of a mad max movie

Some have a problem with the seat on the M.

If you don't want people staring at you while your riding because your bike is so cool looking, then the M isn't for you.

But seriously, it depends what your preference is. Do some research, this forum is a great tool. After reading up on what other owners had to say I was certain this was the bike I wanted.

My prediction for this thread is that the M50 guys will say M50, and the C50 guys will say C50. The bikes are so similar, you really just have to go with the one you think suits you better.

I personally chose the C50 in black. I like the look better than the M. I didn't like the studded seats on the C50T, so I plan on doing my own mods and additions to my bike to make it exactly what I want.

Go with what appeals to you, it's your bike.

The M is for folks that like to get serious about riding! If you want to sit back like a old man get the C. The M attracts the girls.

You know, Farmbone - when you're right you're right.

It's just awful keeping the young, beautiful girls from wanting you because of the bike. At red lights, they jump out of cars to come ride with you. At stores, they drop everything to leave with you. At restaurants, they buy your dinner after they see you ride in. It's downright awful, especially when you have the black M50, because everyone knows its the fastest.

But the C50 is a nice looking bike also, if nice is what you're after.

Riding position is what ended up sending me to the C-50. I went in fully intended on buying a blue M-50 but when i sat down and really thought about how i wanted to ride and what riding position fit me best, I ended up with the C-50 but still love the look of the M-50. Would love to ride one sometime. As for resale, screw that! you buy a bike to ride it not to sell it!

Intersting. I have a VS800 Intruder (S50). Have one friend (Mike) that has a C50 and another (Shannon) with an M50. Mike says now if he'd seen the M50 first, he'd have bought it. He's commented that he'd sell it real cheap...as he just doesn't enjoy it now. In it's defense, he has also since purchased a used 'Busa.

The 3 of us were joined with some other friends Monday for a ~150-180 mile ride through the country. Mike took the curves real slow compared to Shannon and myself. I felt like he had plenty more room to lean into them..but he said he just didn't feel comfortable leaning any more on the C50. Maybe I'd be the same way if I also rode a 'Busa...maybe not.

Anyways, we've all 'stop light' raced before. The M beats the C every time...no matter which rider is on which bike (they've swapped rides before to see if that was much of a factor). My S beats them both, even with a full HUGE tank and my usually loaded saddle bags & my extra weight. Shannon can't weigh much more than 140-150. I'm right around 230.

I've not ridden either...but would probably go with the "M" and turn it into a "C" by adding some nice bags, a shield, and either highway bars/pegs or floorboards.....IF the M or C were my only options.

If given the choice over all 3...I'd still take the S.

Apples an Apples...suspension and styling will be the determining factor between the two. I have the M....I like it...I've riden the C...I like that to.

How you ride:
Highway C
City M
Long Cruise C
Twistie M

I had the same dilemma, I sat on both and the M felt better to me. The tubeless tires also swung it in the M's direction.
