Something will be done. I will not tolorate that and I'm sure my neighbors will not either. It started 3 days ago. Our Sherriff's office is good about handling complaints. I have not been able to read his paper plate or see where he lives but I'm sure I'll find out one or the other. If it comes down to confronting him, then that will happen too. We have a elementry school about a block away. I know the D.A.R.E. officer personally and when school starts, he will be in the neighbor hood. He doesn't put up with stupidity.

I have some clowns in my neighborhood (one on a sporty and one on a cruiser) who go screaming down the main thoroughfare and I have wanted to call the police on them but the description for the guy on the cruiser is the same for me minus the gear. We both have black bikes with aftermarket (loud) pipes, he's black and I have black gear I figure that that would just confuse the issue even farther. I can see it now "no officer it isn't me it's the other black guy you know his actual skin is black? Yes officer there is another bike in this neighborhood that looks similar to mine; no officer I'm not trying to conceal my identity by wearing the proper gear; yes I live in this neighborhood (please don’t ask my address). God forbid they look to see if there are any disturbance calls to my house, stinking teenage boys.

Always there to clean up the mess.

This seems even more fitting now:

Oh No! The discription I gave is a Gray Sport Bike. I hope they don't confuse my Gray and Silver C50!

Enough complaints about speeding and blowing stop signs (No comments) have paid off for our subdivision. We have a Sheriff parked at the end of the block now almost every weekday from 4-6.

Funny the guy who complained the most got caught tossing nails in the street.

I hope you are not serious with this comment. It is the rider's/driver's responsibility to know the laws and it is law to adhere to them. Even before my state passed the law requiring riders to take a permit test, we were still given a hand book and told it's our responsibility to read it.

Teens are allowed to operate motor vehicles because the state believes them to be responsible enough. Speeding and acting like a squid on the open road may not get my blood boiling as much, but doing it in my neighborhood is crossing into my comfort zone. Endangering children is something I don't take lightly and I won't "give someone a chance" in this case. I am one of the people that have to go out to the scene where a child is killed and tell the parents their child is dead. It's a little different after you see the affects and a dead child.

I'm well aware of what the driver's responsibilites are. That doesn't mean he does. Sometimes a polite reminder is all it takes to effect change. You don't have to take a heavy-handed stand all the time. I'd bet we've all done things that were illegal without knowing it. Just last year my brother got a fine for keeping a walleye 1/2" outside a slot limit that only existed on that lake. He'd have appreciated a reminder to read the regs.

BTW, both my brothers are EMS, so I know what you're saying. We have to pick our battles is all. I'd rip into the habitual drunks before I'd worry too much about this kid.

Guys....

Lighten up. Either way. Somehow...someway...something will happen to the young feller. Maybe the neighbors band together, the gendarmes have a talk with him, or god forbid, he has an accident.

In the meantime.....there's a damn pic of a clown riding a motorcycle!!!

Sorry Rowdy, this is one of those rare times that I have to agree to disagree with you. If someone is not aware of the responsibilities and laws, then they should be stopped from operating a vehicle and be educated. If they cannot learn it, they should not be driving/riding.

You know the saying, driving is a privilage, not a right.

I am not always heavy handed either. Like I said, if this was on the open road, I would probably let it go. But, why do you think they increase fines for "Racing" and/or speeding in a residentual and construction zones? It's those few times that someone should get a little more than a slap on the wrist. It's serious stuff killing people because of being wreckless.
