| I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone up Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, just outside Estes Park CO? Way back in my younger, carefree days, I worked at a resort near there for a year. From what I remember, the road was very twisty with some unbelievable drop-offs and a tourist stop at around 12,300 feet. Some really insane people were actual doing this road on bicycles! This may be a summer trip in the future if I gain some more experience riding on long trips.

| I was there in June. It blew my mind, and I grew up in Montana! I remember being disappointed to learn that what I had previously assumed was accessible only to the determined hiker could be seen from the front seat of an RV. That's your first clue that it should not be ridden for motorcycling pleasure. Speed limits are low and tourist traffic is thick. In fact, someone in my party got stung for passing on a DY. A guy can only take so many miles of following a Sunday driver!I ended up riding above 10,800 feet four times on my trip. I'll try to get some pics up later.

| Yeah, I been there as a youngster. I'm sure it has changed since then. Clint, did you ride back down past Estes Park through Big Thompson Canyon into Loveland? - Nut
