Default Camper + Bike

I like to go camping and I'd really like to take my bike w/ me ... but really can't... not with the pick-up full of firewood and coolers and stuff .... I really really love my 2000 Coleman Niagara pop-up, its great!!!!

When I got some extra money (and bring myself to part with my trusty pop-up ... that fits well in my drive way, and tows like a dream), I think one of these is in my future: KZ RV - Coyote Rock Climber: Travel Trailer and Fifth Wheel Toy Haulers This think looks cool! .... I like the bigger model w/ the three beds ... in the future I hope the dinette slides out, like the dinette on my pop-up does.... that'll open the floor up quite a bit .... maybe by the time I buy one they'll have that feature.

I work in Arlington, VA at the corp HQ of a very large company. I work in IT service and support.... basically, I'm Sr. desktop support... but when dealing with top level exec's it turns into more then just that.... it pays most of the bills.

I also have a pop-up that I love. It's a 2002 Viking Legend GP w/ dinette slid-out, shower,... I have been thinking about upgrading but hate to part with the pop-up, decisions, decisions. What are you towing with?

2000 Ext cab GMC 1500 z71 (loaded w/ everything) .... in 2000, it was rated to tow 9500 lbs w/ the 5.3 and 4.10's (that's what I got) yeah, I love the pop-up ... among other things, it's low and easy on the wind .... i got 17.5 MPG comming back from my last trip .... I was following my buddy towing a camper w/ his GMC safari w/ 4.3 ... so I went at his pace on the hills and really saved on gas I really don't want to part with it anytime soon, its a nice camper.

you're not towing with a damn ford are you? ... j/k ... my dad just got a new f250 ext cab loaded w/ the diesel and everything its sweet as hell.... and he just picked up his new 32ft camper (w/ two slideouts) two weeks ago ... the ford tows it w/ no problems.

Easy towing pup-ups, gotta love that. Especially getting 17.5 MPG. 16 MPG while towing is the best I have seen.

FORD F-Juan-50, Lariat, 5.4 Triton... I'll tow circles around ya. J/K

one of my uncles is in a wheelchair and my aunt bought a trailer that is set up similar to those, except it is fully inclosed and has a full fold down back door (so he can get in with his wheelchair) great trailer with room for the atvs to tie down at the back of the space. tie downs built in too.

yeah .. i've seen them ... they're nice .... I do not like the idea of fuel in the sleeping area though ... if it ever does leak or spill a little, that smell would ruin a trip. ... but, when I do start looking i will definitly consider price ... I'm not sure what the difference in price would be for one or the other. .... I like the pop-up type beds on the coyote, unzipped, you get lots of free fresh air comming through while sleeping, I like that alot.

I’m still in the market right now for a pop-up. I was heart broken the other weekend to find my buddy just sold his for $500. He moved to Texas and just wanted a quick sell neglecting to tell me about it.

This weekend I went tent camping without a sleeping pad or air cushion. My backs telling me it's time to move up to the next step.

I have a 1982 Coleman Pop-Up that I have had for about five years now. Best investment I have ever spent in regards to camping. I wish I had the A/C feature but it is still better than sleeping on the ground.

I have about $1100.00 total in mine. The original canvas is still on it. Not ripped to pieces but eventually will need new canvas.

That ATV hauler camper just looks too long and tail end heavy to me. If you didn't have the front loaded I would think it would be prone to fishtailing.

If I did that.....I'd still be in the tent-(hopefully not), yellin' "help me, I feel like I've fallen and can't get up.

I really enjoy my 6X12 trailer. I have a blow up mattress so we sleep inside and the bike sleeps outside. I am considering building fold down beds in it this winter.

might not sound just right to you, but try to camp differently. All that firewood is likely to be sitting around on the floor of the woods. that pop up can be replaced with a tent, some can fit on the back easily. its a different KIND of camping, forgive my opinions for a second but its more "real" camping if you dont tow your tent with you. Ok, that out of my system, I will admit to being an avid backpacker/hiker, so my veiws are solidly skewed so take them as fairly extreme. I mean I'll take only what will fit into a large backpack and weigh less than 30lbs for a few days hiking over mountains, so riding somewhere on my bike to go camping I would take more with me, fit it in the saddlebags and tailbag and a backpack. There are less extremes obviously. But its not really camping if your tent has wheels and a sink, its just "not being inside the same house on the same lot".
