Smile Getting "M" Back On The Road Again

Well as Willie says in his song "I just can't wait to get on the road again. Progress on “M” has been slow due to injuries and shortage of time. I have also been plagued with some lighting issues. I bought a Kuryakyn Light Bar and I now believe that they sent me the wrong mounting bracket (nothing a sledge hammer and a couple of 2 x 4s couldn't fix). The other issue is the front turn signals. The clamps are too expensive and I don't want to pay that much. The light bar has LED turn signals but they are not DOT approved. Anyway after replacing the tank, levers (clutch & front brake), mirrors, right foot peg, rear brake lever, stripping out the broken baffles and heat shields off the pipes and reinstalling the original baffles, replaced the rear turn signals, and I replaced the air Cleaner cover with the stock and put the empty box back on the left side. I just didn’t like the look. I struggled with the Head light assembly due to the new Light Bar but I finally got them mounted tonight.

Well one can only work on a bike so long before the urge to ride strikes. So I checked to make sure nothing was loose and went for a short ride. I had to re-aim the head light and after I Got it right I hooked up the driving lights they are small but mighty giving off a very wide beam of light. After all the lights were set I went for another ride around town. It felt good to be Back in the Saddle Again.

What’s left to fix on the bike? I need to mount the front turn signals, install the new heat shields and exhaust tips, replace one passenger foot rest, replace the handlebars, change the oil and filter, and readjust the Fuel controller. Oh and polish all the chrome.

What’s left to fix on me? I have replaced all my gear but before I can ride regularly my ribs and both hands and wrists need to get better. I have a loss of strength in both and that isn’t conducive to riding.
