 |  Another squid down....
We had our annual Summer Fun Run today. Left the Suzuki dealer and went up into the next town, then down and out of town to the highway...I would say about 200 bikes in total, some two up, but most solo riders. About 10 miles into it I notice the bikes are all slowing down and pulling over. I already knew what happened without being told. Seems a squid and his girl on a crotch rocket started passing everyone else at an estimated 120+ and the road made a slight curve. The bike just never started the turn, almost like the girl didn't lean, and they were fighting gravity or something. Anywho, the went off the side of the road, missing a barbed wire fence and lots of small trees, she looked to be hurt alot worse than him with severe shoulder and arm injuries...the bike was probably a total wreck....if I see it on the local news website I'll post a link. They were both alive when the State Troopers finally allowed traffic to resume. I'll update as I get info.  |
