120+ isn't that fast
The fastest speed limit I've seen is 70 in this state. Doing 120 on a public highway, no matter where, is just plain stupid.

The circumstances make it stupid regardless what the posted speed limit is.

He got what he asked for. It's just a shame he had a passenger with him.

German Autobahn 5, north of Freiburg. It's legal, and on weekends, usually not very crowded, so 120 mph (195 kmh) is possible. Been there, done that. I just can't keep it up too long, since I don't have any fairings or much windshield to hide behind ...

You just had to prove there was a road out there you could do it on.

In a pack of roughly 200 bikes? Are you crazy or just stupid? Remind me not to ever ride around York, Pennslyvania....

^ +1, choose your riding partners wisely if you want to make it home in one piece. Doing 120+ on an American road is a bloody stupid thing to do.

120 is dangerous. Not only for you (ever caught a rock at 60?) but for the folks around you.

Sportys are quiet bikes. If youre flying along and pass a cager, they're not goint to even notice that you are coming up on them. You fly by at an appreciable fraction of the speed of sound and they'll crap themselves. This makes the responsible riders look bad, and you look like you have a death wish.

Keep the triple digits on the track, please.

I really dont know why ppl tell others to keep there speeds down, lets be honest ppl dont purchase race replica bikes to go slow they purchase them to drive like bats out of hell. Telling someone to slow down may save there lifes and it may not there is a chance i guess thats why ppl advice it but when there on the roads the last thing there going to be thinking about is playing it safe because Gabriel warned them to slow down. They are grown men or woman who are going to have to grow up peroid.

I got no problem going fast. The bike can do it for a reason. Its fun.

I just dont wanna get hit by some squid doin an 80 mph wheelie in traffic. There's a time and place, thats all Im sayin.

You grow up pretty quick in a hospital bed.

Thats if they even make it to the hospital bed, I respect what you are saying dont get me wrong. Its just I am kinda frustrated with SQUID in general and kind of have a "if they want to rob banks and the cops shoot them than so be it" kinda adtitude. Squid are the scum of the earth hands down they damage RESPONSIBLE riders image in police, cage drivers and the worlds eyes. So I feel like if Squid want to ride reckless and they crash and burn than so be it they deserve what they get. WHen you ride like you are the only person on the road not caring about laws and other ppls safety if you hit a pot hole fly off your bike and break your neck so be it.

+1 You have to trust the people you ride with, there are some I will not ride with because I know they are dangerous to themselves and the people around them.

P.S. chadrob30 any updates on the condition of the crash victims? I pray for a full recovery for both.

Yup, just like the moron that passes me every day at 120+ on his Busa. He's almost taken me out twice, once by passing me on the left when I was in the left hand lane, his handlebars missing mine by about 1/2 inch, the second splitting lanes when I was in the middle lane coming on my right causing me to react and almost hit the car in the left lane. Haven't seen him lately, sounds bad, but I hope he's dead and didn't hurt anyone else. He's almost caused at least 2 pileups too.
