Default Vietnam Memorial Wall Ride

Just got back from taking part riding in a 30 mile motorcycle "parade", following the 18 wheeler hauling the travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall from Texas Motor Speedway to Moore Cemetary Grounds in Arlington. It will be on temporary display there.

What an event! Several hundred cycles in pairs as far as you could see, with full Police escort blocking all traffic.... All sorts of folks lined up waving and holding flags through the towns. Many, many with their hands to their heart or held in a salute to the Wall and the riders.

Skies remained an overcast gray until ceremonies ended, then broke into brilliant sunlight....

We made the run up to the Speedway as a group of eight bikes, and joined the already large gathering of Metric and Harley riders there. Mostly older crowd, as might be expected.

Stop by and see the "Wall" while it's here in Arlington, if you can. Thanks to all Veterans here and gone for the very lives we live!

That stopped by Fort Smith last year. Seemed like most of the volunteers were bikers. It was preety neat to see. I havent visited the real thing but plan to in the future years.
