Default Sunny wants a new ride

i was looking at the vstar 1100, but they won't finance me(stupid divorce ruining my credit forever).

now there might be a shadow 1100 that the owner will finance.

what bikes do you folks know of that have the lower seat height or can be easily lowered?

i'm 5'1" and i will NOT be anything but flat footed at full stops.

get an M50, grey if possible. you shan't regret it. the seat is a little higher but it can be lowered. other than that, the honda vtx 1300c has a lower seat than the 1100 sabre. but how can you say no to fuel injection for 7 g's. plus you get to be more like me, which is what everybody wants.

Sunny, I really love Cleo.... You saw her on the trip, right??? She's a V-Star 1100, and never had a bit of problems out of her in 25k. She sits low, and rides right through the twisties, and otherwise.... I had a Shadow before her, and the only real gripe I had about it was that she took a long time to 'warm up'.... But, then again, maybe it was just me....

yeah. i sat on a vstar 1100 at the stealership, and fell into immediate lust. the problem is the financing and my divorce whacked credit. i sort of know the guy who owns the shadow 1100. but i won't be able to ride it till i get it paid off, from what i understand. but then he only wants 2500 for it.

any other bikes i should consider?

about the vstar, how close does your leg stay to those heat shields on teh pipes? at any stop my leg will be right up against them.

Sunny, I've got pretty long legs, so I can't really tell ya'. But standing still, I have no issues with the pipes, even with my cheap aaassss (plastic) raingear on! But, anyhow, even guys/gals that own them that are 'shooooties' like you haven't had any gripes about proximity to the pipes.... The only thing you have to consider (being in TX) is that they ARE air-cooled, and can be a little warm in the summer-time.... But, then again, they make stuff for that too....

Oh, and a suggestion (yes, another one)..... Don't go to the dealer!!!!! Find a bike in www.CycleTrader.com. You'll save a hell of a lot of money, and hopefully (maybe) find somebody that just got divorced too (like me).... And has to get rid of their bike!!!! My 2001 V-Star Classic w/2000miles was $5500..... Shhhhhh. Don't tell anybody, K???

my problem is i dropped money not only on this trip, but sending my kids to florida to stay with their dad for a month or so. and i'll have to spend even more to bring them back.

i could sure use some financing like what you get at the stealership...

that sucks. it really does.

my ex owes me but apparently $5000 isn't enough for the AG to even think about much less DO anything about.
court orders are just stupid pieces of paper. unless you have money or are responsible.

seat height is just one of the two metrics i have to take into consideration. seat WIDTH is the other. alot of the lower bikes have very wide seats.

No, This is one I bought from a friend who bought it and never rode it and wanted out fast, I was there with check in hand. I made some bucks selling all the Bling off of it and will make some when I sell it. It still is a buy at 5700.00

My "Baby" is not for sale, Waiting for a set of Roadhouse 2-1 pipes for it now, just upgraded the brakes with EBC double H pads, a Galfer braided line and flushed with Motul 5.1 brake fluid.

Hey, how about a ride for us Florida riders, I was all set for Ginnie Springs but haven't heard anything about it, Would have loved to do the Dragon but this is my busy season. Lawn Cutting, hey it buys the Bling
