Default Record Highs

Phoenix is expecting near-record high temperatures starting today. They're saying it'll get into the 110's by tomorrow.

For all of those who get bummed out about poor riding conditions in the colder months in the more Northern areas, this is your chance to be glad it's not you!

It's been pretty wet over there lately, hasn't it? I have a buddy who lives in Houston, and he's been bumming.

Surprisingly, the rain just hit us yesterday. It's been all around us, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas (apparently Houston too), but it just hit us the last couple days.

I'll take Phoenix's worst over heat with humidity any day of the week.

It's the difference between being soaking wet all the time or not.

Tuesday and Wed. were good days. I got out for 3 hours between weather systems today, rained this morning and is raining now.

Tuesday was the first day, riding, in the last 8, even though it was a week day, lots of bikes out. I can see this is going to be a busy season for bikes.

Yesterday afternoon: 6°C (43°F) and rain.

Today's high: 10°C (50°F) and cloudy.

There is a long-term prediction that we should be hitting the upper 70's by late next week.

That exactly sums up the week in weather here in Central Texas. I haven't ridden the bike to work all week. We have had thunderstorms/rain either in the morning or in the afternoon every day.

The rain does little to cool things down and the humidity is off the charts. I've only had chances for short evening rides after rush-hour traffic if it has stopped raining.

The lawn looks great, but I'm bummed.

It's not so bad as long as you're moving; I pity the riders who hit the 101 parking lot during rush hour....
