So I cleaned up my m50 and made it nice and shiny for my first lengthy ride since I bought the bike. Local weather people said "Enjoy the out doors today, it's going to be beautiful. Only a 20% chance of an afternoon sprinkle." So I'm geared up to take off at about 11:30 am. Met a riding buddy and we take off for the mountains. On our way, it starts to get rather cloudy, but nothing too concerning. About 3:30, we start to head back after riding for about 60 miles. It starts to sprinkle pretty heavily, and I start getting a little bummed about my "wash" job going down the drain. But continue on. Well, we pull over because the rain gets pretty hard and we wanted to take a break anyway. We decide to head on, because the cloudes are starting to break up and we feel it's probably going to pass. All the time, I am having some choice words for the local weather people. They have gotten the forecast wrong the last several days, which is not unusual for them, but they have gotten it BAD wrong lately. Anyway, as we begin to ride.....it starts raining harder...and harder...and harder....BIG drops...then I looked on road and noticed...what appeared to be...YEP...HAIL!! Unfortunatley there was no where to pull off. So I just pulled under a small tree and hoped it ended soon. Then...lightning flashed close by and I quickly trotted down the road again since it wasn't too wise to be under a lone tree. It ended shortly after and the sun come out. We decided to ride and find somewhere to eat. Then the clouds opened up again. Finally come home after riding for about 6 hours. Tomorrow I'll have to clean the bike up and hope that the weather is better.
