Default Itiot Drivers

We were cooking out this evening and noticed we were almost out of bread
so my son said he would go get a loaf at a store about 5 miles away
now remember he hasnt had his temps but a couple of weeks
and he dont care for riding at nite and it's about 9:15PM when he heads out
well he gets home 40 mins later
Says some woman came out of the store while he was siting on his bike
she looked straight at him as she walked by him to get in her car ( he parked near the door so there would be plenty of light) she gets in her car and procceds to back right up to him pinning his leg againt the bike ( bike was on kickstand so it didnt fall over ) then she stoped, he said she came back slowly and didnt hit him just pined his leg. She pulls forward and gets out saying she was so sorry, something about she wasnt thinking cause she has a sick kid at home. Now I have no way of knowing what he might have said to her and he claims he dont remember but I bet it was a few choice words knowing him.
He wasnt hurt (Thank God) and neither was his bike, but he has riden less time than I have and had a scary experance already. He said they discussed it for 5 mins or so LOL

I dont think there is anythign that could have been done had he called the cops sense he wasnt hurt nor was the bike but geesss I wish People would Wake up when behind the wheel of a car.

Sorry, not nice to make a big deal out of a typo but when calling names it makes sense to check the spelling first. lol

Guess he learned lesson one, when on a bike you're invisible ! Always assume the other guy ( or gal ) doesn't see you even if they're looking right at you..

I hope this incident doesn't discourage your son from riding.

I am sure he knows there are far worse things that can, & I hope doesn't, happen to him.
