Default Having a little trouble...

I know, another de-badging question.... But, I've even tried the fishing line method, and broke the 40lb test line I had.... It's so frustrating, I'm ready to take a Bernzomatic and a prybar to it! The adhesive remover didn't work either. Any ideas y'all?

Use a blow dryer to heat it up, spray a little WD40, use waxed dental floss in a sawing motion. You will break the floss a few times.

Just do not use the blowdryer on high. Use a good liquid wax after.

Well, I didn't want to be bragging, but it is huge..... Makes it rather hard to handle as a result. Pulls to the right at highway speeds, and you have to be careful of your leg/and or other body parts you do not want pierced!

I hope this isnt a joke completely... Mine was extremely easy to remove. I just grabbed ahold of it and tore it off. There was a rubber/foam sticky pad that I just rolled right off. Took about 3 minutes per side. They must have changed them in 2006, because I constantly hear difficulties with this.

Texrider,
If you get that giant badge off the tank, maybe you can mount it to your rear fender as a spoiler!

Seriously though,
I've wanted to debadge for some time now, but threads like yours have made me wait. As Jonger noted above: seems it's harder to debage an '06. Wish I could help you buddy.

tha badge it self was easy to get off. A little blow drier and viola. the double stick tape left over however was a royal pain in the butt to remove. WD-40 did the best and the fingernail.

Plastic credit card works great. Does not scratch paint, destroy the credit card too.

sometimes I would like to debadge mine -- but then other times I like it there telling everyone it is an intruder

also I worry about the paint being a different color underneath since it hasn't been in the sun
