Wink Oh Yeah? But I look Cool!

I was in the dealership getting a new tire awhile back and there was another guy in there dressed in all matching gear and bragging about his gsxr being a chick magnet. I quipped off something about actually "riding the bike" so he started bragging about how fast he wore out the tires with his aggressive driving. After this had gone on for awhile the shop manger motioned for me to come over to the entrance. He rolled up our old tires and the gsxr tire was only warn out in the middle. Less than two inches of tread was gone. M's tire was worn to within less than an inch of the edge on both sides.

It must be really hard to hold that front brake down and gas it.

But hey, he looked cool!

The wife and I were shopping Sat. am. It was raing as we left the store.

A COOL dude on his sportbike rode by, Full face helmet, Tshirt, no gloves and running shoes. He was wearing jeans not shorts.

I must be getting old. I wonder if he will.

That should be a new definition for a poser - someone with more than 2" chicken strips on each side of the tire...

I was at the grocery store a while back, and there was a bike parked outside. The rear tire was worn down on the sides (the tire was certainly no longer street legal, from the looks of it). But he still had plenty of tread in the middle. It looked like he had either been doing donuts or he was one excellent rider spending hours in the twisties ... (I didn't see the rider, just the bike).

HA! Ole boy has 'compensation' issues! I am the chick magnet and the bikes are merely bling to add to my chick magnetism.

I'm sure glad I don't fit inspiron's definition of a poser. In spite of mostly straight roads in Kansas, I did manage to get my chicken strips to 1/2 inch on both bikes. A fellow rider at work found some nearby twisties; can't wait to give 'em a whirl!

He is a helmet and jeans ahead of many local sportbikers here!

Saw a guy the other morning (still fairly dark) wearing a tank top, shorts, and funniest of all sunglasses.

Tires never lie.
I can't say I see a lot of riders like the described one when I go to the local twisties. There are some pretty good riders, and really nice and positive attitude around the hangouts.

My brother swore up and down that he saw some dudes on HD Geezer Glides smoking cigarettes while they were riding. Those dudes are way cool.

If you're not wearing out the bead of your tire, you're not riding.

lol

i'm sure the middle of my tire will wear first ... I comute about 80 miles a day on highways.... and don't really have to lean much (the % of leaning -vs- the % of not leaning per mile is really low ... so I'm guessing the middle will wear first for me)
