Technically, that would be how many you had "known"....

I've owned two bikes.. my first that I bought in May of 2005 was a 2000 Suzuki GSX-R600 yellow/black, eventually custom red and chromed -- put about 6000 miles on it in 9 months. Now I own a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R1000 silver that I got in March of 2006. Had it 10 months and put 8500 miles on it.

Thinking about the new Ducati 1098 when it releases in mid-Feb here in the states.. eh, maybe I'd better wait on that. Yeah.

Ride on wind!

I think "Known" or "Had" are both poor choices.

Owned or "rode for a time" would have been better.

My comment was really meant to be dry humor.

Ditto... Though, I've sometimes felt as if some of my bikes have owned me...

Seems to me (in my humble and relatively unexperienced opinion) an excelent example of bike size progression!

Just curious, over how many years are we talking?

Cool topic but there's not enough space to list all mine. Got my first mini-bike at 7. Honda mini-trail at 10 or so and it went from there. I've not counted all the bikes I've ever had but it's somewhere around 100+ and I count that as bikes I've had that are 90% complete - running or not. I currently have 33 bikes (:: My Homepage :: and check my garage) most all are running and in excellent to good condition.

No I'm not a broker and I've only sold one bike in my life (1977 CB750 Super Sport) and I regret selling that. Some I trade, part out to friends/swap for parts etc. If you love Kawasaki Triples I have one, BSA - got one too. Yamaha DT400 with 3K original miles - mint - got one. You can say I have a passion for bikes.

Cheers,
bb
