A guy I work with has some old gear he needs to get rid of (new bike, different color). He has an Alpinestars leather Red Bull racing jacket, that SUPPOSEDLY there was only 50 or so made. It's like brand new, never skidded in or anything. Then he also has a helmet, I thought it was a Shoei, but I don't remember. Anyway, he said the jacket was a $600 jacket that he knows he could get a lot of money for, but he figured he'd sell it to me for a good price just so he could get rid of it (doesn't have time to sell it on eBay, okay.......). Does anybody know anything about this jacket? He offered them both for $200, I figure I could pick them up and turn around and resell them and make a quick buck. Thoughts? I'll try and get more info on the helmet monday.
