Default ::sniff:: ::sniff:: yup, I smell calamari

gotta read this, the guy I have gone riding with a couple times loves to tell me these things, this is a real email I just got from him
"I’m at about a 40% success on wheelies higher than 1 or 2 FT LOL I don’t pull up at the correct time every time… nor do I always hit it at the correct RPM some times I don’t get the front end up LOL its really stable on 1 wheel just stay out of the wind"

and yes, my answering email consisted entirely of what you see in the thread title.

boiled about that I just got a bike thats much more powerfull than his. lol, typical squid. We met the previous owner of my bike and he was talking about the power mods he did and the capabilities of the bike and my friend was just all green and pissed cause his bike wasnt close in his eyes. He'll beat me on the road anyday cause I actually try to go near the speed limit, but he still thinks he needs the most powerfull things, the reason he now wants a gsxr750 is he wants something faster than his car

actually I suggested he not write me about his dumb tricks cause I dont think they are cool and that he not expect to ride with me if he was gonna pull crap like that. though its funny, his "1 foot wheelies" are actually just the shock decompressing, he's not off the ground, but this is the same guy who went over a snowboard jump with me (I am pretty good) and didnt make the landing, while I did, and he claimed to go higher and "HUGE" and such. so you know.....

I was riding last night and as I went by the off ramp to the interstate this guy pulls out and supposedly is accelerating hard by the looks of his bike. Although he was shifting rather quickly. He stayed next to me and looked over like I thought he was cool. Then he proceeded to fly past the guy in the next lane on his cruiser in the same lane but almost the shoulder. He had no turn signal on the bike and I didn't see a brake light either. My first thought were what a retard! and, he doesn't honestly think his bike could outrun mine does he? I just stayed back and let him be stupid on his own. Me and the cruiser guy looked at each other like

And where exactly were ya Ray in the big O?? I was out riding all over last night. Them thar squidees were a plenty where ever I went dude!!....

race bikes riders in a group of three wearing tee shirts and shorts, oh, BUT they had gloves on though.

seen a couple guys racing each other and doin' wheelies....

a guy on a honda land yaught in his penny loafers/slacks/half helmet getting on the interstate.

Seen a guy with his gal riding passenger, both in tank tops and shorts-(like they had just left the gym) or something......

Believe me, I didn't have ta go far to see it all.

Yup. Like I said before, squid season has just started. At least I rode all winter. What a bunch of girly men!

OK more squids tonight this time on 4 wheelers, 3 of them, took off out of a gas station never looked to left as they were turning right and came seconds from being roadkill.

Which Squids are worse, the ones on four wheels or two?

IMO -- two wheeled squids are worse - "normal' society lumps everyone on a bike into the same category, "guilt by association" and all that. (However, those on four wheels tend to be stoopider 'cause they think they're invincible inside the cage.)

(am i a squid if i'm new, but keep both wheels on the ground, obey traffic laws, and actually think about what i'm doing?)
i think i'd go with the 4 wheeled kind being more dangerous, simply because they can cause so much more damage - and yes, they feel all safe and sound in their cages

right now, the yamaha dealers are almost giving away r1's and r6's so they're everywhere, and i swear, for a while, i thought you couldnt ride one with both wheels on the ground because EVERY one i saw was doing a wheelie!
so many squids in the desert - who knew?!

This may be your answer....

No gear, no helmets. I guess they qualify?
