Depends if they are mobile, using a cane, using a walker, or in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair is the tough one, you have to hit it from the front or back.

I hit a squirrel once in the mids of a spirrited canyon ride, I felt lucky that I didn't crash and wasn't sorry for the scuirrel. I hit another squirrel with my car some time after that and I felt like **** for the rest of the day. Go figure.
Anyway it adds up to the riding experience.
Glad you made it trough; those suspensions work mirracles don't they.
