Default Pulled over by a motorcycle officer

I just got back into Texas late last night from New Orleans doing relief work with my brother and sister-in-law. I was coming home from his house (San Antonio) this morning when it started to sprinkle. Now I'm on Interstate-35 which is not fun on a motorcycle even on the most beautiful of days. So I kick it up to about 80 or so as it's just starting and I want to either get home or get to a gas station where I can wait it out. I'm coming into South Austin, and as I come under an overpass BAM! there's a couple of motorcycle cops radaring. SONNUVA!! One pulls out and puts his lights on and I just slow down and move all the way over as he points at me. I ride about 50 or so up the highway a bit to the exit ramp and pull off onto the shoulder of the access road (I never pull off on the side of a highway). Well he goes through the routine and says, "I clocked you at 84 (guess I wasn't paying attention, thought I was doing 80) coming under the bridge. Are you in a hurry?" (now it's starting to rain a little bit). I tell him, "I'm just trying to get home before it starts raining. I live down a dirt road and the last time I went down it when it was wet I crashed. It scared the hell outta me. I'm coming from my brother's house and I still have 120 miles to go too." So he asks me where I live and I tell him. He walks back to his bike and comes back a minute later. "Well I'm only gonna write you a warning." "Thank you officer!" He writes it and tells me to be careful on the way home and I reply with "You be safe too officer!". PHEW! Who says cops are all jerks?! I thought it was really cool of him to give me a break. No doubt because we're both motorcyclists and he understands the fear (for some) of getting caught in the rain on the interstate, lol.

In case officer Lowe of the Austin PD is reading this, thank you, I made it home safe!
