Default Planning On Getting Onto A New Bike...

Now that I get the chance to do the bike thing over again (bike will be paid off this week) I have a couple questions.

1. Thinking I want to go with another 1k, is there a disadvantage or advantage from the 03-04? I heard that the horsepower numbers were better on 03s than 04s... Something to do with some of the little changes that were made. Not sure if thats crap or not. 03s are harder to find so I was just going to go with an 04.

2. Is the 04 1k gix still the best choice out there? I have read a couple magazine articles rating the 4 power players out there and have been gathering info...

3. What would you do if you were in my shoes and had a fresh start?

Don't get me wrong guys, I loved my bike and am pissed at what happend, but with that said I have a chance to keep on track and just get the 04 and keep riding or change bikes etc. Input

I read in Motor Cyclist that the '04 front brakes aren't as good as the '03 model. Of course, you may want to keep riding your present bike and enjoy your lower $0 payment amount.

Have fun either way!

I guess we won't be riding his present bike. I didn't connect the two posts. Maybe I am a bit slow.

Get well quickly GSXRider!
