I'm a drafter, no this isnt an employment ad or request. after driving to get some plans made this morning (in the jeep of course, its still snowing here) I began to wonder, I wondered to myself "Dichotomous, how do architects and engineers, many of which like to ride motorcycle, how do they carry large sets of plans with them? now obviously if you are an engineer or architect or designer you will likely understand how the idea of transporting a 6-10" diameter roll of full size prints is a daunting challenge to a newbie.... any advice? my current ideas: 1. get a hardcase or two with shoulder strap, pray that it stays relatively stable. 2. thow them in a large backpacking pack (I have) and look silly pulling them out at clients offices... 3. construct drawing roll saddlebags that are 6" in diameter and waterproof, any set or sets that cant fit in 2-6" tubes shall be driven in car 4. hard case(s) strapped sideways on rear seat |
