If your friends know your are wearing one, whats happens if they give you a hard smack on the back???

By accident, of course.

Damn good idea. Every little bit helps.

...as long as you don't **** yourself when you see the price.

lol. i don't think it would matter. There is a clip that attaches to the bike, and when you get thrown it pulls the coord and inflates. whooooo they are expensive though. I think $650 was the lowest priced one.

Your friends would not pull the clip? By accident.

Just have to remember to fall away from the bike.

I would forget about it and get off the bike.

It seems that they thought of everything...oh wait, they didn't. As mentioned above, you have to be ejected from the bike. Many times this doesn't happen until you actually hit the ground. A low side or high side could keep you on the bike until impact.

Granted, if you have armour and a good jacket, then I suppose it would be ok. It looks as if you can get a vest, which would probably go under a jacket. If it gets too warm, maybe you could wear the vest as your actual shirt?

On a last note, they show you how to replace the CO2 and deflate the air bag. Not sure that would be a good idea if it was involved in an accident.

I don't think I'd be re-using the jacket after an accident.

I know a woman who has one of those jackets for riding her horse. She broke her back two years ago when she was thrown off, and has been told if she gets thrown again, it could cut her spinal cord. So she has an airbag jacket and clips it on the sattle.
