Question Dairyland Insurance???

I know we have discussed the insurance issue into the ground but i just went this afternoon and finally got insurance and tags for both bikes. I think i did a good job.
I got a 250 deductable with 100K/300K, 50K property, 15K/30K uninsured, 10K plus 5K for bike goodies OEM if demage. etc for $621.19 for the C90T for the GXS R 1000 i got the same but for another 774.93. i got discounted for AMA MSF and Am Med Assoc (AMA). I think this was a good deal considering the prices and obstacles out there for sport bikes. The one think the Agent did not included was towing services because it would have been another $43.00 and he said that having the AMA Moto and AAA I was more than well covered.
I walked away satisfied. So far I think I did well. My thing is I went thinking of Progressive insurance and was told that their rates now are extremely high unnecessarily, therefore, I was given Dairyland insurance. I was told that about 90% of their clients have this one for MC Insurance.
Please anybody familiar with this Insurance Company? I never heard of it. ALso, please, is there any difference b/w AAA, MC Insurance Co. Tow, and AMA Moto? Please someone knows about this? Thank you in advance!

Dairyland used to be THE insurance company to use for motorcycles before the onslaught of Progressive etc.

I've heard some fantastic things about Dairyland. But I got a good deal through Allstate since that's who my whole family has our policy with ($35 a month for liability under MY name!)

Unless you have the RV coverage, AAA will not tow a motorcycle.

Nut, CMan, & md,
thanks guys. I am glad to see this info. At least it is not a new company trying to push in the business and provide shotcoming services. So it seems i got a good deal after all.
Hey CMan if Allstate is what's is working for you that is the ticket. I have Allstate for my vehicles. There was one bump on the road with at one point with a Nissan that deployed the airbags they paid and then held payment under reasoning that the vehicle hit something first. A little back and forth and then they paid. Otherwise, it has been fine.
Md, Thanks, yes i got the RV under AAA. It brought my total to $136.00 per year for all vehicles.
Thanks again guys. Remain Safe!!!

Of course not. The gentleman doesn't say how old he is, but even the Dairyland premium for his cruiser is nearly three times what I pay.

Md,
I am 37 y/o become 38 this coming October 22. Also this is my first year with Motorcycle insurance. According to sale agent should there be no accident/claim next year the rate goes down and subsequently. It is what my rider friends have told me as well. One of the guys in my little group pays $169.00 p/y. This is his fourth year with this company. I just found out today that he has Dairyland also. So it seems that time is the key to the so low rates some of you enjoy. Good for you!!

Remain Safe!!

Did you ask your insurance agency about raising the deductible to $500? That lowered mine allot.

Actually yes,

He crafted a few different possibilities, printed them and then we worked from there to see what i found best for me. This person was very informative and easy going. At no moment I found myself under pressure. He printed an basic full cover w/ 500 deduct, 15K/30K and so on. This one was $517.43. Then we looked at Increasing Liability to 100K/300K, increased coverage for optional equipment, uninsured/underinsured, and so on. I considered what it would be prior to all the discounts I got. By taking this higher rate with $250 deductable and the 100K/300K etc., I am still below the original quote. So, in the end I found it to be a good price, even more when comparing to what some people in my circle pay for insurance. The underinsured is what brought rate the highest.
One reason why I opted for this also, is the fact that despite me having ridden bikes in the past, for me it has been a while. I consider myself brand new again. So, bein the rook again, i want to have a sustantial coverage for my own sanity. As you probably already have heard; Philadelphia is capital of the world when it comes to law suits and litigation. Hateful subject in its own.
