Default Latest attempt at the tank

Since the flaming Boulevard scheme didn’t work, I decided to try putting pin stripes on the tank. I think I like this. I tried the front fender but but couldn't get it right last night. I think I might have been drinking. I'll try it again later.

I LIKE IT! I don't know why, but i think it gives a "classic" look. Post pix of the fenders when complete. That should really tie the bike together.

NOT BAD for a guy who MAY have been drinking

Pin striping def takes practice. I used to recondition cars and did my own pin striping. It took me about 5 cars just before I knew how to make a straight line with one. Took another 10 to get the two sides to match and after that, I started getting creative. I made some pretty ugly creations, atleast, I think alot of pinstriping on a car is ugly, but the customer was happy with it.

As for the pic you posted, I like that. The striping accents the lines of the tank. Another way of pin striping if you want to keep it conservative is to do a tear drop on each side of the tank. This takes a little more skill though, as you have to do a full 180 with the stripe.

I like it. Simple yet original. I've been looking for a graphic for the tank for a while (prior to the accident) and have had a hard time making a decision. Thanks for the ideas.

Does anyone have any advice on removing the tank emblem on the m50? I just bought an m50 and hope to remove it. Thanks!

Does look better than the last attempt. Just curious if you did the other side already. If so, do you have a match?

Yep, I did the other side and managed to get them to match. I still couldn't get the front fender right. I think I will have someone do it for me.

I think it looks very nice! I agree with Poe-Boy in that it gives the bike sort of a vintage look to it that works well.

Right on man!
