Default Picked up Givi luggage at the IMS

Every few years I find an offer I can't pass up down at the Cycle World Int'l Motorcycle Show. This year it was 15% off and free shipping on Givi hardcases. I ordered E360 sidecases and a V46 topcase with the optional brakelight. I'll mount them on a Wingrack with relocated signals. I also got a gel backrest for the topcase. I think Jolene will really like the sense of security it provides. I'm on a budget so I didn't spring for the silver painted models, but instead got the more durable molded black ones. Can't complain - they still look great.

E360

V46

Wingrack II

This should make touring this summer that much more enjoyable. I don't have to worry about water or theft, and I can pull them right into the hotel with me. Heck, with so much space I can camp again if I want.

My setup will look something like this:

Thumbs up

Look good and functional as you can treat them just like a suitcase.

Who did you buy from? I went today, and the only place I found selling Givi stuff was Midwest Cycle, and they told me it was only a 10% discount.

Hehe. My buddy and I finaggled a deal. We both bought full setups. If you're going to buy, try TwistedThrottle.com. They were who I planned to buy from before today.

Thanks,I checked with them, but I found a better price at "Sport Tour". I'm looking to get a set of E21 bags, with mounts for my V Strom. Best price at the show was $361.50, Sport Tour is $312.00 plus $15.00 shipping. Too bad I didn't bump into you, maybe we could have gotten 20% off on a threefer price.

As I said in my ORIGINAL POST, I bought a backrest for Jolene. Logically, I must expect to carry a passenger, right?

sorry i did read that you got the backrest but just looking at the pic you posted and it looked like the sidebags blocked off the passenger area quite a bit. Could be just the angle that picture was taken at.

Just got a call from Midwest Cycle. Seems I won a tankbag signed by C.R. Gittere, #81 Geico GSXR-1000. Sweet!

For the record, the bag I won is a Givi 410. It goes for $115 or so. The signature is in silver on the top surface (heavy nylon fabric). I can't decide whether I should use it, save it as a collector's piece, or try to ebay it for $250.

If you're not gonna use it, eBay it.
