|  "What's that shining from your tire?"
Was out on a brief ride during a very short break in the weather, feeling good, grabbing a bite, admiring the M50 in front of a small Italian restaurant, when a small group of guys start up some small talk. Enjoying the chit chat when one of the guys notices a shiny chunk of metal lodged in my rear tire in plain view. Grreeeaaat! No leak at the time...managed to get home for further investigation. Turns out to be a nail, 3-4 ", that went in sideways across the width of the tire. Was able to extract it and still no leaks. Whew! Of course I thanked 'hawkeye' fot pointing it out...and a good reminder to be consistent in pre-ride checklists...you never know when...  |
