Default Christmas Week = Bad time for Bikers in Dallas

I was just informed by a co-worker that a couple of fellow bikers where I work at were injured on December 22 when they were going out to lunch. It seems some clown in a Corvette entererd the highway at a high rate of speed and lost control. The corvette bounced off of a Van then into the bike which they were riding. Neither were wearing riding gear or helmets. The girl (passenger) escaped with moderate injuries and the guy didn't fair so well He is having multiple operations to repair the bones in his legs and is missing a chunk of his scalp. It isn't clear if he has any brain damage (at least more than he had from before riding without a helmet) they are still waiting for the swelling to go down. This couple is engaged and loks like the wedding will have to be posponed.

On the 25th of December a man was killed when he hit a car in north Dallas. It happened on a side street and apparently he was speeding and lost control.

Well let's hope this year we see fewer accidents.

Both the result of irresponsible behavior. What a load.

Yup, too young to have a clue what you're talking about.

Unhappy

Sorry to hear about your co-worker. I too work with a guy who had a crash and woke up to find paramedics cutting off his clothes. He, fortunately, WAS wearing a helmet. A rider who witnessed the scene snapped a bunch of pictures and put them on a forum to alert the local riders. It was kind of sureal for my co-worker to see footage of himself lying on the ground unconscious, looky loos and emergency personnel in tow. Hope your friend heals well and is able to carry on with wedding plans and provide for their future.
