Default My Riding Season

today at 2 am. it will begin again at 9 am -- thats when the frost advisory ends --- as I have gotten older, it just doesn't seem as much fun to worry about ice on the road and really worrying about how to avoid it. -- some how trying to pick up a 700 pound bike just isn't the appealing

For us unlearned, could you please explain what you are talking about. I know about the ice thing, but it's the times I am having a problem with.

By the way, my wife and I had another great ride today. The mean ole weatherman said we would have clouds and showers today. Well, he was wrong, we had a great ride this afternoon. Sunny and 70 degrees, great weather for East Tennessee this time of year.

we had a frost advisory from 2 am till 9 am this morning -- in my old age, I will try to avoid riding in any condition that may bring ice -- hence my riding season ended at 2 am but a new season started at 9 --

I could have a whole bunch of short seasons

in my younger years -- I took great joy in pushing the envelope in ice conditions --- not even thinking about riding anything other than the bike in sub freezing conditions

I guess I matured a bit

Maybe your sense of self-preservation was delayed in development

We're "enjoying" the first snowfall of the season. I was out (in the cage) on Saturday, and there was some serious ice on some of the less-travelled roads. I saw one guy on a scooter going up an icy street ... and thought, "gee, it's nice sitting in a heated car at this time of year!"

err.... its a wee bit cold outside today, but I think I'm gonna ride anyway. We are just above 15" of rainfall for the year, and none in the past 2 months, I have few worries about ice.

I rode about 60 miles on the 750 yesterday trying to sort out carb issues. I think it was, uh, almost 90-degrees outside!
