Default HJC-CL MAX flip face helmet review

HJC-CL MAX
M.S.R.P.
Metalics: $179.99.99, Solids: $169.99 (XXL and XXXL prices are $5.00 higher).
Element: $189.99 (XXL and XXXL prices are $5.00 higher)

Bought this helmet a couple of weeks ago mainly for my wife but also as a back up for me during night time or cold weather riding. It fits pretty well with no noticable tight spots. The latch below the chin is easy to operate and the lid opens up pretty freely with two resting positions half/full open. Chin vent that's closable and two closable upper head vents that have a channel that lets the air out in the back. All pretty standard on these types of helmets in the closed versions. Only two real draw backs. one was air flow. a lot is able to get inside which also allows noise. It's not something that you can't deal with but it is a bit annoying. The other is the latch for the face to open is too easy to get to. Reaching up to scratch your chin or make an adjustment to the helmet etc can cause this latch to partially open.

Pro: Looks and fits like a regular full face helmet with a price tag that won't break your budget.

Con: Too much air flow. Latch that is too easily opened.

Overall: A good buy. Not something that really is needed though unless your wear glasses or goggles with your helmet in which this makes it so much easier to take off and put on your gear.
