I noticed that with a sport bike my monthly insurance payments were about equal to that of my yearly payments on a crusier. That is a big reason why I went with a cruser. Save alot of money and I'm less likely to be going down the road at 150mph everohter stree

A good way to reduce insurance cost is to have a good agent. Also your driving record, try to avoid tickets, ride smart-use blockers. The better your credit the lower the premium too.

I found the insurance on my GZ 250 to be laughably cheap ($160 / year), I'm 40 with a clean record. My car and bike policy's are both with Progressive. This was one of the factors that made the bike buying decision easier. I got a quote on a Kawasaki 500 LTD just to see how expensive a bigger bike might be next year, and it was only about $60 higher. I guess I'm financially lucky to like cruiser bikes.

Default You could...

Check out Bikeline.com. I was able to undercyt Progressive by over $120.
I now have full coverage with $1500 in accesories covered for just over $260 a year, on my VS800.

For me, Bikeline cost $2 / year more than progressive, but certainly shop around and find the best deal! I don't work for Progressive.

Default Happy B-day Louis

Sorry about that. Hope your birthday was way cool.
Just keep the tire spinning, and keep on grinning cause when old age hits there is no more sinning.

I remember when I thought 30 was old. I was probably wearing a leisure suit at that time....
