Default Looking for a brake light for my trunk

So a few of us around here snagged the Emgo trunk from JCWhitney. It's not too bad for $78 been working great for me. Now that the weather is turning nasty around here and the days are getting shorter I was thinking how cool it might be to put a brake/running light in the trunk.

The trunk has, pic attached, a roughly 11.5in x 2 in area that looks like a cutout for a brake light. I also think I remember someone mention that they had a brake light installed in one of these. So I've searched the net looking for such a thing and so far nothing. Emgo has a website and an accessories catalog but they haven't updated them in a while and there's no mention of the trunk much less a light for it.

Obviously some sort of custom light is an option and I'd also considered about just getting some truck running lights and bolting a row of them through the lid. Anything that actually goes in the cutout area would probably need to be a LED solution so as to not use up too much space in the truck and not get broken when I cram a bunch of stuff in there and jam the lid closed

Anyway just curious if anyone has seen a light for this trunk or something close to it or has some good ideas for a DIY light.
