I would most definitely second the suggestions to let her supervision know of her kindness. She, IMHO, went above and beyond.

If this were to happen to me, I would try to locate her precinct and personally present her with a bouquet of flowers. If she went out of her way to assist me, I should go out of my way to show my gratitude.

My daughter lived in Duluth until last year. Then moved to Kennesaw. I was actually born in Atlanta, and lived there during the late 60's and then again in the mid 70's. It was rocking then.

I sent a nice letter to the chief of police, and I hope she will join us at our next bike night so I can buy her a beer and give her the screwdriver back.

Indeed. Their jobs can get pretty crappy and people rush to complain about them.
