Default Gotta Hurt

Came across these pictures at Killboy.com. It puzzles me why a person would put crash bars on a bike to save the bike from damage if it was dumped but ride without any protection for his hide. Looks like he's landing tits down, OUCH!
My pictures are too big, I'll shrink them and repost

That's gonna leave a mark. Looks like in pic 2 that by scraping metal the front tire lost traction.

At least he tried to ride it through the curve. What he did is better than a high side dump. Looks like he was wearing a novelty helmet. Hope it worked.

Yea, from the angle of his foot I'd say his chin is going to hit the pavement.
According to NHTSA, 40% of riders use non compliant helmets:

Yeah, but if he wore one of those full face helmets, no one could see how cool he really looks. Even looks more cool by not wearing a helmet at all.
When I lived in Minnesota, I saw a dude on his "hawg" and he was wearing a pair of sunglasses, some cut off jeans, and flipflops. no shirt, etc. This was in the spring, and they had not gotten all of the winter sand off the road, so I bet he got his hide sandblasted.
No helmet, then mandantory organ doner card. Also mandantory long term care policy.

Ouch, that was painful. As Catherine pointed out on the first picture, I offer the following advice: Do not, I repeat, do not POSE while attempting to negotiate curvy/twisty roads. Better yet, keep the posing to parking lots and concentrate on your riding. Heck of a lot more cool than falling on your @$$ (or face)!

Looks like anouther Sturgis picture. There is a guy that sits by the side of the road just up the hill from Spearfish taking pictures of all the bikes that go by, than posts them on a web site. He lists the time & date of each picture. The idea is if you are out there, and you want a picture of yourself driving by, you just keep track of when you went by, than lookup the web site, and find your picture. I think they are for sale.

I concure high side crashes SUCK!
Seems like he didn't understand that the fat slow bikes are ment to go slow and tend not to handle excessive angles.
I bet he knows now!

It worked great! He looked cool.... His head is probably OK, but I'm guessing his arms are missing a bit of skin. I doubt he was going over 25 - 30 mph in that corner.

What a nice bike too.

I agree but he just plain and simple fell off and his bike continued on without him.
I would hate to be him. Not only did he have an unfortunate accident while ATTEMPTING to look cool... it was captured on film and the pictures are plastered all over the www for the whole world to see. I can only imagine that everywhere he goes someone will come up and ask "Hey! Hahaha, Aren't you that poor fool who fell off your bike?...Hahaha...". Yup, I'd hate to be him.
The poor guy.
