After I get the hang of that, I figure that it's hard to get more exciting than running into the center-support for an overpass at 100mph. Without a helmet. Carrying bottles of nitroglycerine. And razor blades in my mouth.

Or maybe I'll do my best to keep both wheels on the ground and skip the pain and death gig.

You should be juggling the nitro BTW.

thanks thats what i was looking for, this thread wasnt for me to get advice on if a wheelie was cool or not, or how to do a wheelie cause im so gonna do one! I was mainly curious cause i've seen so many people do them in videos and after seeing how bad the landing was, i thought WHOA! people actually even think about ruining their suspension like that? but now i know

Well assuming somebody tried some wheelies in a controlled safe to others environnement they are still screwing up perfectly good bikes by doing things these bikes were not designed to do.

Long wheelies starve some engines of precious oil because the oil pick up tubes ( or whatever system is on a particular bike ) is situated to suck it up when both wheels are on the ground and of course the front suspension was not designed to be a pogo stick.

Out of curiosity... is an S40 even capable of doing a wheelie?

Nice to know that I can if I ever need to (is there ever any time?). I don't think it's something I'll try anytime soon, though.

I went out earlier today to pratice wheelies. I was getting them down pretty good and could hold them somewhat for a good distance. The last one of the day I guess I pushed too hard to have a nice finale and got too vertical. Needless to say the bike crashed down with me and the chain fell off. Good thing it was my raleigh mountain bike and not my...eh, n/m not like i'd wheelie my m50 hahaha

I wheelied a Ninja 250 a few times. So, I wouldn't put it past a lot of bikes.
