Default The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!

The Good

Saturday I got to ride Highway 243, 74, 74, 243,243, 74, 74, and finally 243. Yep one pass was just not sufficient, neither was 2 or 3. After four passes, I was feeling great. If you have never had the opportunity to sample these two highways, I strongly recommend that you place them on your must ride list! I'll post some pictures tomorrow, cause I'm stuck in Riverside on dial up service.

The Bad

Saturday as I was a few miles up 243 a group of V Stroms exited a corner and onto a short straight. One rider drifted to the right and off the road. Long story short. It's believed he had a heart attack and had passed immidiately.

On 74 where it has those awesome sitchbacks, a Tahoe lost control and went over the edge. Must have been bad from what I saw from a distance. The road was closed for a long time. Saw lots of bad driving today but still got a nice ride in. I feel for the others who must live with what occurred today.

The Ugly

That would be my face and neck from the swarm of bees I rode through. Second time in a week! This time I took 2 stings to the neck an one on my cheek. I also ended up with 3 bees cruising around in my helmet, behind my faceshield at 70 mph! It's damn hard to stay focused and get the bike stopped with them on and in front of my face. This morning my neck looks like I swallowed a golf ball and it got stuck!

After all this I wonder what todays ride will bring?

Pictures to follow Sunday night.
