A young friend of mine, about the age of my younger son, just bought an 02 Shadow 750 Ace. This is a beautiful bike. It has 9000 miles on it, and looks brand new. It came with Cobra Drag pipes and the rear back rest and luggage rack.

I bought my Suzuki Boulevard M50 two years ago and have added many accessories and mods over that time. My friend took his motorcycle safety course late last summer, and has come to me for guidance in becoming a new rider, so I am endeavoring to guide him in the most important additions to make first, such as a Brighter Headlight Bulb, Engine Guard, Light Bar, etc....

When I installed the engine guard on my M50, there were threaded holes in the side, toward the top, of each vertical frame rail for mounting the top portion of the engine guard. We were looking on his ACE and found no such threaded mounting holes.

Question) How does the top portion of an engine guard attach to this bike?
