Default Slay the Dragon!!!!!!

Well after thinking about how things have gone in the past 7 months I have decided that it is time to Kill this Beast.

The original post of this thread was a rant about how hard is it to find a woman who enjoys bikes. This was posted in response to several women I had dated that could not seem to just enjoy riding with me and one in particular that B*tched the whole time making it truly un-enjoyable for me to ride with her.

After numerous ups and downs on the dating circuit and especially with Dis-harmony dot com,,, I finally found a girl who just enjoys being around me for me. She isn't after my money because she makes twice what I do. She isn't after my possesions since I really have none.

I think Pete put it best yesterday when he told me that after seeing how she looks at me and how she interacts with me she is the one I need to be with.

So to put things best in closing. I have found a woman who enjoys riding bikes and a whole lot more. The journey there has been fun and irritating but it has been worth it.

I will miss this thread, but there will be others.
It served it's purpose well.

Alas, we are at the end. Like any good sitcom that has run it's course, it ceases to be good towards the end. Thusly, the producers bring an endless string of guest star cameos etc., to give one final breath to the dying body. After the cameos stop working they have the "Best of" or "Reflective" episodes. Where the characters sit around and reflect on past happenings, augmented by clips. I see we are at that point now. I respectfully ask the only posts from here on out, are "trips down memory lane". Please don't add new topic or comments on what has been said, just a recap of your favorite moments or pics from this thread. A promise has been made to the Mod's to wrap it up with a "fare thee well", and an epilogue by the creator of this godforsaken piece of written word train wreck!

Some highlights as I scanned backwards through this thread, was a continuous calling for the thread to die as far back as page three or four! The obligatory Friday posting of the Village People biker dude in honor of Sean's chaps/date wear. The Monday morning date recaps....

If anybody else has pics that they posted in the thread, bring them forward. Like the photo-chopped ones from Don.

Thanks Intimid8er, Pinhy, Intrudercruiser, Loius, Blackie, Trapper, UB, Nightwolf, Badboy, Rowdy, S2Design, and any others that I failed to mention. I have appreciated all the comments whether good or bad. Different opinions are different views and if one is able to objectively listen to the many different perspectives than one can truly see the world through non-biased eyes. Not saying that my views are not influenced by others nor that my views are steadfast without waiver,, but my views allow me to see both sides of the coin majority of the time.

When one can see both sides of the coin, accept constructive criticism, not be totally unwaivering, but stand up for your convictions,, then that is when you can make an honest, to the best of your ability decision.

My decision to look past the shallowness of alot of my ideas of a perfect woman and what and how a woman shall act and be has opened up alot more oportunities than ever would have been possible for me.

I am by no means saying that I do not find "J" an attractive beautiful woman,, but I stopped looking for that unrealistic girl that does not exist. That unrealistic girl is one that you see on tv who says, does, and acts a certain way. That unrealistic girl who looks like a supermodel and still likes the big fat slob without any question. That unrealistic girl that for a long time was what I thought I needed. That unrealistic girl is only real on tv since they are nothing but actors.

By opening up my scope of what I was looking for and not being such an A$$ to them by giving them unrealistic demands and treating them alot more on the equal as me, I found exactly what I was looking for.

One that is pesimistic might say that I settled because I lowered my standards. Well I did lower my standards to realistic expectations.

BUT WAIT!!!! No 2x4 needed,, let me explain. When I ran across "J" I saw a girl that was pretty, had a good job, has a great kid, believes the same as I do, and I also thought that this girl was going to be one of two things.
1. Out of my league.
2. Or she would end up being just as shallow as I have been since she was that dream type of girl I was looking for.

Funny after I stopped being so demanding and so unrealistic,, that i found the type of girl I had pictured all along.

Can't beat her. She has her flaws at times. But trust me,, I have alot more. She is very understanding and allows me to run on my rants about stuff and after the dust settles she tells me that it will be allright and what she thinks.

I got her,, I am going to keep her,, and that is cool with me.

I'd also like to thank Sunny, Road Mama, Kehau, and the rest of the ladies for their perspective as well.

Now,,,let's just make sure I don't screw it up. I really do not want to do another thread like this again.
