I guess why I find it fishy is because looking at where I'm from you can see the outline of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. These Provinces are really sparsly populated. There are small towns on the coasts, but not enough to outline the whole Province. It's really noticable on the south shore and western part of Nova Scotia, as well as the eastern side of New Brunswick. But hey, I've been wrong before... once.

Actually even though Canada is bigger than the US, it's only the first 100 miles north of your border that's populated !

India has more than 1billion people. Many births are not documented because people in rural areas give birth at home itself. I'm not very proud to say this but it is the truth.

In addition to the home births, very few of the populace live in a city or town. Sadly most are without power and running water.

Some people in India itself don't like the Sitar or many other things for that matter, but for a country like India, which is the largest democracy in the world it is expected that there will be disagreements on many issues. Nowadays in India, the youngsters are trying to imitate the western way of life including music, fashion, electronics, etc. Many youngsters don't know to play instrument like the sitar, tabla and other traditional indian instruments. Instead they take classes and learn how to play the guitar, piano, drums, etc.

I can hear many of you saying <Off Topic!!!>

It's not just off topic, it's more like out of left field, what's that got to do with the price of tea in China these days.....
I usually see these conversations like a chain....there's some sort of link leading one thing to another but you have a real knack for trying to keep a chain together using twist-ties.

So, I heard that Nora Jones was Ravi Shankar's daughter.

The link is that Ravi Shankar played sitar on the Beatles albums.

And I heard that Eric Clapton stole George Harrison's wife, Patty, who is in teh A Hard Day's Night movie. She's the buck-toothed blonde on the train. Paul tries to hit on them but his grandfather (who was very clean!! ) tells the chicks that the boys are felons.

I think you are right, Landry, but the rules state that you have to explain the link to the post. So, you should have said "the link is George Harrison, of the Beatles was buds with Ravi Shankar and both were responsible for the crappy sitar song on Sgt Peppers."

May as well, they were when they recorded it. I've heard also that Bob Dylan introduced the Beatles to drugs, Alan Parsons produced Abbey Road and also produced Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Pink Floyd is going to be at Live 8. Oops, wrong thread.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she’s gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmellow pies,
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,
That grow so incredibly high.
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you’re gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle,
The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes.
