Well, the ROT rally is in Austin this weekend. You might consider riding down on Saturday. There is a rally the following weekend in Kerrville. I don't know too much about that one but it is called the Texas Star BQ Rally.

If you've never ridden up through eastern Oklahoma and around Mena, Arkansas, that would be a nice trip for a Saturday/Sunday.

Another good Saturday/Sunday ride is down Kerrville way towards Leakey back through Camp Wood and back into Junction. There is a place between Medina and Bandera called Coyote something-or-nuther that has cabins, tent sites and is really nice. Also, Garner State Park is a cool place.

You've got some time without the kids ... how about getting on your savage and heading west? After a couple of days, you should be in the LA area, and you could go for a ride with Gixxerdale and FIVEINCH. Then you could head up north to visit TLChris, before heading south-east and enjoying a few days in Las Vegas...

here are my three currently planned trips.

1. the talamena drive, fourth weekend in june.
2. fourth of july in corpus christi
3. tennessee, fourth weekend in july.

i'd REALLY like to go to ROT this weekend, but my fender didn't come in last saturday. instead i'll be picking it up this saturday.

unless i can arrange to go pick it up tomorrow. and then work like crazy to get it rat-can painted and on the bike. and get the lights done right. all in between packing the kids' things, buying last minute necessities, and getting their hair cut(so the crazy stepmom doesn't hack it off like last time).

Which route you taking to Corpus?

I am thinking of having a party/BBQ down here around that time.

Koyote Ranch is close to us down here as well.

Please be advised that I had nothing to do with the post of a fellow admin in this thread.

I don't need a partner for certain things and I'm big enough to be my own threesome.
