Default Gas Prices

Gas prices here in LA really suck. A Malibu 76 station is at $3.16 for premium, yet all the refineries are just a few miles south of there! They say it's because of all the additives required to met Ca clean air standards. I say they are just gouging a captive consumer!

What do you pay in your town for Gas?

We're at about $1.99 for 87 here, and $2.19 for the high octane stuff. Memphis, TN.

[EDIT: I went online and looked at our local prices, so I had to change them. At first, I asked the idiot next to me. She obviously didn't know, yet answered anyway. Nice. ]

I was just commenting on this matter this morning.
Around here in S. Florida its around $2.10 for regular.
I hope it doesn't go up too much further than that, since
we really haven't hit the summer time as yet...

I think SoCal and Florida will both see increases as we reach summer time and tourism and travel increase, then peak for each Holiday. They always have some excuse and say it's just a coincidence, that's about as likely as me winning the lottery!

I was going to say the wrong way. I could really start to confuse you and ask you what colour your bike is, or did you have a doughnut this morning, or a glass of draught beer last night. But I'll do you a favour and drop it.

And you wonder why I left CA?!?!?!? Was talking to my old race teammate last night. Racing is expensive enough without having to add more $$$ for gas. My truck got horrendous mileage towing that heavy trailer we had. And the bikes suck down a lot of juice too running at track speeds.

I think regular is approaching $2 here.

Regular: CHF 1.43 per Liter
Super: CHF 1.48 per Liter
Diesel: CHF 1.56 per Liter

Liestal, Switzerland

The Swiss Franc (CHF) is about 1:1 with the Canadian dollar at the moment.

Yes boys and girls, that's right - we pay about US$4.75 per gallon for regular.

So stop your %%%%%ing...

A little west of Trae we're looking at mostly $2.03 for 87 octane. Couple stations are holding down at $2.01. 35 miles or so north-west, I found a station that was still $1.90 - name brand stuff, too.

btw, Gixxerdale, while the additive bit has effected the cost of fuel, that's only part of the story. Bigger part is 1) reduced refining capacity in the US (largely becuase the EPA has made is less profitable to run a refinery in the US, and 2) China.

China can't do much about at the moment. The additives are a completely different story, and for that I blame California, Mid-West corn farmers and the EPA for their roles in raising everyones gas prices.

Bonus points to the first person who can explain that one

This site might help you find the cheaper stations in your local area.

==> http://www.gasbuddy.com/

In O-Town it can range from $1.99 to $2.29 for 87 depending on how close or far you are from the attraction areas.
