Default Is anyone else paranoid about someone stealing your bike?

I've only been riding since October, but I'm beginning to feel comfortable in almost all aspects of motorcycling. There's just one thing that I really fear: having my bike stolen. The darn thing only weighs about 470 pounds; I'm concerned that if I go anywhere for a while (like to see a 2 hour movie) that the bike will be gone when I come back. I'm REALLY concerned about going on a trip and waking up to see my bike gone from some motel when I'm 500 miles away from home.

I work in the auto insurance business as a claims adjuster. It's rare, but I occasionally see claims for stolen bikes. I just handled a claim for a stolen Honda sportbike. It was parked outside the owner's apartment in Austin, Texas and someone just walked off with it.

Is anyone else worried about this? Are there any anti-theft devices for bikes?
