Its 106 miles to Chicago. We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, its dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hey, psycho, we're not getting back together. Now get out of my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up.

I wish I was that smart. I have, though, thought about putting my plate on a hinge, such that I could pull a string when I went by one of those things and flip the plate into an unreadable position.

From him driving on the wrong side of the road, I'm guessing it's Europe, and those are clicks, not MPH.

Looks dangerous.

clicks=kilometers. 1 kilometers = 0.621371192 miles.

139 kph = 86.3705957 mph.

Looks like it. Must be NZ. (?) Are learner plates used outside of NZ?

In NZ, we have L plates for beginner riders. They are yellow with a large black 'L' on them (the plates, not the riders). A learner can only ride a 250cc or less until they get their 'full' license. I reckon this was a local.

take the power antenna off a car and install it under the seat. put the plate on a hinge and connect the antenna to the bottom of the plate. wire it into a switch and you are ready to go..
