|  need to buy a car
So driving home from work the other night my car stopped shifting gears. I couldn't get beyond first with it, so I crawled to the mechanics to await the diagnosis I knew was coming. He called the next day and said the transmission was dead and needed to be replaced, but he also said the car wasn't worth the investment. Its a 1999 Hynduai Elentra that isn't even worth 1K on KBB, so I agree with him. The problem is we need to buy me a new car now! I'm looking for opinions on what people like. We want 4 wheel drive, but besides that we don't have any real requirements. I would like it to be manual, I've discovered I really hate driving automatics but I can't be too picky since I need a car asap. All opinions/suggestions welcomed! Thanks for the help.
