|  Middle Aged Squids........Drunks.
I've noticed more & more middle aged and even older guys on motorcycles that are scaring me more than the 20yr old risk taking riders. For instance this article Nude motorcyclist charged with DUI| ajc.com Now this guy is more of a drunk than anything, but I'm curious how he could handle a motorcycle at night with twice the legal blood alcohol level with no clothes on mind you and not have wrecked. Also last week I was riding out in the country and I stopped at a local church parking lot to readjust something on my bike and this 60yr old guy that resembled Santa Claus pulled up on a Rebel 250. He was wearing a tank top, shorts & sandals. No helmet, no gloves, no boots...etc. I was fooling with my digital camera and not really paying him much attention as he began talking to me (I mean at me) telling me how this is his first bike, how he's teaching himself to ride and also how he's going next week to quote "pay cash" for a 2009 HD Fatboy. These are the kinds of riders I don't want to be around. Just because your older doesn't mean your mature, intelligent or have even the slightest clue. I told Santa Claus good luck & you should at least be wearing a helmet and also take the MSF class held in Macon. He didn't respond and he turned south on his bike and left. I in turn went North. |
